South Side Student Ministry exists to develop students into life-long followers of Jesus. This is accomplished in three ways:

Know God.

We want students to know God not just in head knowledge but in experience as well.  The Bible is a great way to get to know God but we also seek to provide experiences throughout the year to experience him whether that be in special themed nights, camps, or even activities.

be connected.

God created us to be in relationships.  We need to be connected to God and to each other.   We seek to connect students to God through a personal relationship with Jesus and to each other.  Each relationship takes time and effort to build.

be Transformed.

Through God and through others we can be transformed.  We are all broken through sin and through our experiences.  God doesnt want us to live in our brokenness but to be transformed and live a life with Him.

OUR LEADER

John Myers has lead our South Side Student Ministry since August 2020. 

He is a Process Engineer by day. He's into sports, hiking, camping, bike riding, marvel movies and hanging out with his wife, Stephanie, and their four kids.

His heart is for teens to really experience God and to see the Christian life as a relationship not religion.
