FAQ about SM
What does the normal youth group night look like?
Here's a quick overview of our normal Sunday Night SM:
- Start at 5:30 pm. End at 7:30 pm.
- Group game
- Both fun & inspiring videos
- Worship in song
- Bible teaching
- Small Group discussion
What are "Small Groups," and dow do small groups work?
Each week, normally after the teaching time, we break up our small groups by age and gender. Each small group is lead by one or two leaders who have gone through background checks to ensure the safety of all students.
These groups talk about how they can take what was just taught in the lesson and apply it to their own lives. Or, if students needs advice on issues of life, small groups are a safe place to talk.

How will my student get plugged in?
Our goal is to have each student plugged into a group as soon as they walk through the doors. We play games that are designed to have students work together and have fun together. Also, we believe that the small groups create a way for leaders and students to know each other better.
Will my student be safe?
Yes, we currently have a 1 to 5, student to leader ratio. Also, we have a security team that makes sure all students are safe during both youth group nights and events.
What's the best way to stay up with SSSM?
Do you meet at other times or only on Sunday night?
A normal Sunday morning would look like this:
Throughout the year, we ALWAYS meet on Sunday morning from 9:30–10:20. During this time, we do Bible study or another form or learning about God and His Word. We all meet in the lower level of the church at the beginning but split off into junior high and senior high.
We also have events outside of Sunday morning and Sunday night. To see those events and download our printable calendar, go to our events page by clicking the button below.

What do you do during the summer?
During the summer, we cancel Sunday Night SM; however, we do not stop SM life. We may gather at different times for games and Bible studies. We also continue with our Sunday morning gathering. To see what we are doing during the summer, head to our events page.
Parent Resources
Resources at the churchIn the hallway behind the sanctuary, we have a parent resource table. Here we have 5 of our favorite parenting books that you can borrow at any time. The titles include: A Parent's Guide to Understanding... Teenage Guys, Teenage Girls, Teenage Brains, Social Media, Sex & Dating. Above the table, we keep our current quarter's calendar posted, as well as posters for big, upcoming events. |
